DEMOCRITUS INDUSTRIAL ROBOTICS (DIR)<\/strong> is the only Greek team – and the only one in the Balkans – participating in the RoboCup@Work global competition. DIR<\/strong> was founded in 2018 at Democritus University of Thrace and specializes in industrial automation, building and programming an autonomous robotic system called Talos with an industrial application (pick and place).<\/p>\n

Talos includes autonomous navigation, computer vision and autonomous 6-axis arm operation, setting new standards in industrial automation. During preparation, in addition to our own expertise, we also aim to pass on the knowledge we acquire through training programs we organize and events we take part in.<\/p>\n
