EIT MANUFACTURING SOUTH EAST was legally established in Athens, Greece in April 2022. It serves nine countries in South East Europe: Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania and Türkiye.
EIT MANUFACTURING SOUTH EAST’s mission is to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the regional manufacturing network by strengthening and creating cross-national synergies among the different manufacturing actors in South East Europe. The office’s vision is to make South East Europe a hub for sustainable and innovative manufacturing.
EIT MANUFACTURING SOUTH EAST is already having a positive impact on the region’s manufacturing sector. During 2023 and 2024, the hub helped to create new partnerships and collaborations with large manufacturing companies, Ministries, Academia/Universities and Startups and has supported the development of several innovative manufacturing solutions. The hub is also working to promote the region’s manufacturing potential to a wider audience.
